Terms and conditions

These terms and conditions are the only ones that govern reservations and stays at our hotel and the terms of payment for our services.
By signing the agreement, the Hirer acknowledges the validity and application of these terms and conditions without reservation or exception.

1. Reservation

Reservations made by the client must be confirmed via the website, booking.com, letter, e-mail or fax.
Individual bookings confirmed by the hotel that do not specify a time of arrival are guaranteed until 6 p.m. on the day of arrival.
Options granted by the hotel which have not been confirmed by the guest within 8 days will lapse automatically.

Minimum age for a reservation: 18 years.

2. Rules

An identity document must be presented by all guests on arrival at the hotel. The guest must also behave in accordance with the customs and regulations of the hotel.

Any serious or repeated violation of the hotel rules entitles Hotel Monvillage to terminate the contract without notice.

The Client and the Contractor shall be jointly and severally liable to the Monvillage Hotel for any damage caused to persons, the building, furniture or equipment of the hotel and places accessible to the public.

3. Payment

All information and prices quoted are based on our current rates.
The cost of the stay and services is payable on the day of check-out.
For stays of more than 8 days, the hotel reserves the right to require payment per week.
Failure by the guest to pay the required amount within 24 hours shall be considered as a serious offence which entitles the hotel to immediately terminate the contract without prejudice to claiming damages from the guest if applicable.
For the purposes of invoicing, the client is considered to be the natural or legal person to whom the booking confirmation has been sent.

Invoices sent by post to the client are payable within 15 days.
Invoices for extras relating to a group holiday are payable before the departure of the group, unless the company responsible for the booking has given written instructions. In case of payment by voucher, the balance due will be paid upon receipt of our invoice.
Any delay in payment will result in a fixed and irreducible compensation equal to 15% with a minimum of 50 € and interest calculated at the rate of 10% per annum from the date of the invoice, being charged automatically and without formal notice.

Hotel Monvillage also reserves the right to cancel the agreed service if it is informed of a possible deterioration in the client’s financial situation, thus generating a legitimate doubt as to his ability to pay the invoice for the service ordered. Online payments: please note that your credit card will be charged immediately at the time of the transaction.

Refund of a prepaid amount: please note that a fixed amount of 25.00€ will be deducted from the refunded amount.

4. Cancellation & modification by the client

In the event of cancellation of an individual reservation less than 48 hours before the arrival time, the price of one night’s stay will be due as a fixed and irreducible indemnity, if the room cannot be re-let.

The partial or total cancellation of a group reservation, seminar, banquet & any other event, as well as the reduction in the number of participants initially reserved, gives rise to the debiting of an indemnity calculated as follows

From 14 to 8 days before the arrival date: 60%.
From 7 to 2 days before the date of arrival: 75%.
Less than 2 days before the arrival date: 100%.

5. Arrival / Departure

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, the rooms are available for check-in from 3 p.m. on the day of arrival. On the day of departure, the rooms must be vacated before 11:00 a.m. If the check-in time is exceeded, a late check-out fee of € 50.00/room will be charged.

Guests must identify themselves by all legal means (ID, passport,…) at check-in. A credit card guarantee may be requested at check-in.
Any specific request may incur additional costs & cannot be guaranteed.

6. Parking

Parking is free of charge.
Prices and conditions are subject to change without notice.

7. Beverages

Unless otherwise agreed in writing, all drinks (wine, spirits, beer, soft drinks, etc.) intended for consumption in the Monvillage Hotel must be supplied and served exclusively by its staff, in accordance with Luxembourg law.
However, an exception may be made by paying a fee to be determined (“droit de bouchon”).
Any package offered must be appreciated with moderation, as the Monvillage Hotel reserves the right to refuse to serve a client in a pronounced state of inebriation, in order to guarantee the safety of all our clients and staff.

8. General security

The lessor’s staff always has access to the premises and can report any breach of the safety regulations at any time.

However, the lessor is not obliged to carry out inspections in this respect and is not liable for any failure by the lessee to comply with safety regulations.

In the event that an event requires the installation of special objects or equipment, the hirer shall commission an approved inspection body to check that the objects in question have been properly installed, fixed, dismantled or removed.

The hirer shall be obliged to request the authorised inspection body to provide the lessor with an inspection report and its operating permit. If the hirer sets up or dismantles these installations at a time when another event is open to the public, the hirer must take all necessary steps to ensure that the public order, peace and safety are not disturbed or impeded.

The lessor is entitled to prohibit the lessee from carrying out assembly or disassembly work if he considers that there is a danger or inconvenience to the users of the hotel.

Without prejudice to the provisions of the following paragraphs, the use of all doors and emergency exits may not be impeded during the term of the rental agreement.
It is the sole responsibility of the lessor to ensure the strict application of this provision.
It is strictly forbidden to store any flammable and/or dangerous materials in the warehouses and/or the installations and premises made available under this contract.
Any incident or malfunction of any installation must be reported immediately by the hirer to the lessor.
No intervention of any kind whatsoever on the fixed technical installations (water, electricity, weak current, telephone, video, sound system, etc.) is permitted.
All unauthorised fixings must be provided so as not to have to drill holes in the existing infrastructure.
No installation may interfere with the correct and proper closing of fire doors.
The lessor accepts no responsibility for theft and/or damage of any kind on the entire site, including the car park.
Smoking is strictly prohibited throughout the Monvillage Hotel, except in the open air areas or in the areas expressly provided for this purpose.
The Tenant is personally responsible for ensuring the strict application of this prohibition, in particular with regard to the public. The Tenant should note that the entire site is under continuous video surveillance, in compliance with regulations protecting privacy.

9. Pets

We are happy to welcome you and your dog to the Monvillage Hotel.
As a service to you, we have provided some simple guidelines to help ensure the safety of your dog and our other guests during your visit to the Monvillage Hotel.  The hotel is willing to accept your dog in the room provided it weighs less than 10 kg and is well trained. A fee of €15.00 per dog, per night, will be added to your room account.

The Hotel applies the current law regarding the General Data Protection Regulation “GDPR” imposed by the European Union.
